Tammy Wintczak, human resources associate at Life Care Center of Rochester, displays toy cars and collectable Barbies.

Life Care Center of Rochester, Indiana, held an antique toy show for its residents and the community on June 8, 2016.

The event marked the center’s combined celebration of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Six groups, a mixture of community businesses and facility associates, provided tables of toys from years gone by. The items brought back memories for the older folks and provided a bit of a history lesson for the younger generations.

Toys on display included classic Barbies, paper dolls, a Raggedy Ann doll, G. I. Joe, play kitchen equipment, collectible cards and other favorites.

“I really enjoyed the antique toy show!” said resident Suzi Waltz. “I saw toys I played with as a child, and it brought back wonderful memories!”
